my shoulders are aching

I've spent most of the day at the machine! If only it counted as exercise LOL. I had 160 photos printed yesterday - love Big W for their cheap prints LOL. Thats 4 lots of 40 photos of the kids, to put into these brag books which I covered very simply today. There is another album but its already covered in a beautiful red linen - I bought it like that. So these are for my brother, my grandparents and my inlaws - the red one is for my parents. Obviously the denim one is for my brother LOL - and I like the look of it the best. Must keep it in mind for another time - would look cute with a felt flower and a button on the front. Next are these slightly padded and covered coathangers. Ok so a bit of an old fashioned 'gift' for my mum but she likes my handmade stuff and really likes pretty things with nice trim. I didn't have a pattern so these were an experiment. I couldn't find pre-padded hangers anywhere in adult size so I wound padding around them instead. The pom pom trim was tricky to do on the bottom, next time I'll do lace or soemthing I think. But i love this fabric and I think she will be pretty happy with them.
And finally, my original reason for dragging out the machine this morning. My friend, T, had a baby girl yesterday morning. About time too!! Its seemed to be the longest pregancy on earth but if my memory is correct, she was only a day or so overdue. Its a simple square quilt, about a metre each side so a good size for throwing on the floor for tummy time etc. Of course I couldn't NOT use the leftovers for a mini dolly's quilt for little Miss K, as I'm sure at 2.5 years, she will be playing mummy a lot in the coming months with her dolls. I just need to wrap them up and post them out.
And thats about it for handmade gifts now. I am so over it - well not really but I think I need a rest. I have got 2 lots of material picked out to make Alesia PJs for summer but if I get to it then thats a bonus.

Don't leave your camera out...

I have noticed that Scott has a keen interest in taking photos lately. This is what happens when you leave your camera on the kitchen bench overnight, and children wake up much earlier than their parents......
"My futures so bright, I gotta wear shades!"

Yes, Scott has a Pumpkin Patch ted with matching PJs - his name is Fred!

"All I want for Xmas is my 2 front teeth!!"
PS....According to the dentist today, he will be sans front teeth for a while longer!

So yes, cute that they like to take pics of each other.
Yes, the photos turned out not too bad for kiddies taking pics.
NO, they aren't usually allowed to use the camera without our knowledge.
On a side note - no harm done, we have one of thos Olympus cameras that is shock proof, waterproof and obviously, kid proof!!
And there was video too - I deleted it, lots of Ben 10 on the tv and wriggling toes ROFL.

carols by candlelight

we went to Carols last night. It was big... much bigger than ones we've been to in the past. Kids had a great time. It was a bit cool!!!

xmas photos

Our official xmas photos are in my header of my blog but here are a few more we've taken.... Scott was ummmm - a not so willing participant!!!

its fast approaching

where has the year gone? Just a few photos from the last several days... we've managed to decorate the house, make xmas cards ready to post out this coming week, have a photo with santa as well as a visit from Nanny and Poppy. Its been full on.

Jack and I have both had some tummy wog - same one that hit us a few months back. Not bad enough to put us to bed though with all the things that need doing...

We survived our first week of school holidays fairly unscathed also ;)
